Home Sweet…Home? And More Series Fun…

Wow, has it really been a month since I’ve posted??

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your patience with me and sticking around while I’ve been so quiet!

Comfy Pregnancy SeriesWe arrived safe and sound in the States and promptly hit the ground running. We’ve not stopped traveling in some form or fashion in the 3.5 weeks we’ve been here! We just finished up a great time with my family taking our kiddos to Disneyland for the first time (you can bet there will be posts/pics about that coming up)! And now, we are in one place for a couple of weeks before we have to travel again, so hopefully – Lord willing – things will get a little more back to normal around here!

Starting today! :)

I’m delighted that the second post of the Comfy Pregnancy Series is up at The Better Mom today! Come on over and join us as we chat about how to get the comfiest sleep possible in pregnancy! Be sure to share your tried and true tips in the comments!

If you’ve just joined us from The Better Mom, I want to extend a warm, fresh-on-American-soil-from-Ireland welcome to you! Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to make yourself at home and have a look around! The kettle’s always on, even on this side of the pond. ;)

A Fun New Monthly Series!

If you’ve spent any time around here at all, then you probably know that hubs and I have three amazing kids. Two girls, ages 8 and 5, and a wacky lil’ man who is 2. I never would have made it through each pregnancy, delivery and early days without the amazing support, encouragement and advice from other mamas just a few steps ahead of me on this crazy road of motherhood.

Even now my mama friends are a huge source of support and encouragement to me – and I hope I am to them!

I do find it funny, however, that no matter how old my kids get – or their kids are – inevitably, given enough time and conversation the topic of our pregnancies rolls around. We all regale one another with the tales of our own experiences; even if we’ve all heard them before! It’s something that is so much a part of who we are – who we’ve become – that we just have to share it.

That’s why I’m so excited to announce my new monthly series over at The Better Mom:

Comfy Pregnancy Series

This four part series will look at the best, most effective tips and tricks for having the comfiest pregnancy possible, as well as taking you through to those tender first days and weeks. I’d love to have you join me there today as we kick off the series talking about how to find comfort in the early days! If you have any tried and true comfy tips, be sure to add them to the conversation over there! I look forward to hearing your tales!

If you’ve just clicked over here from The Better Mom: Welcome!! And thanks so much for stopping by! I can’t tell you how delighted I am to have you here! Please, make yourself at home and feel free to stay awhile and browse around!

**Disclaimer: I am not a health professional. The tips/tricks shared in this series are simply garnered from my own experience. Please consult your healthcare provider if you have any concerns or questions.**

So It’s A New Year. Now What?

It takes me by surprise every year.

Not the fact that the calendar changes over once again. Or how time seems to be accelerating at break neck pace.

But nearly every year I’m taken aback that I wake up New Year’s Day just as stressed, worried, burdened as I was when I went to bed on New Year’s Eve. Somehow I convince myself that the dawn of a fresh year will lighten the load, and somehow press the proverbial reboot button on my life.

When The New Year Doesn't Feel So New

Don’t get me wrong, I love the fresh start; the last steps of winter into the freshness of spring. Yet some years I find myself nearly paralyzed by how very little feels new about the New Year.

Join me over at The Better Mom today as we discuss what to do when the New Year Doesn’t Feel So New! I’d love to hear your thoughts!

If you’ve just clicked over here from The Better Mom, I want to welcome you warmly, with open arms! I’m so delighted you are here!

An Irish Christmas Blessing
